After a deliberate hiatus that lasted almost a month and a half, my partner and I decided to eat out for once. Our decision to not eat out until then stemmed from simmering health concerns that were afflicting both of us. My birthday on August 12, 2025 (Tuesday) was the obvious triggering point for us to break the self-imposed culinary exile. Therefore, here we were at 'Cafe Rome' for our dinner not too far from where we stay at Yelahanka. However, the traffic was bad, and it took us almost an hour to reach the cafe. Ideally, the drive should not have taken more than half an hour. Anyway, we reached the cafe and found it both artistically designed and sophisticated. We ordered a plate of Rome Chicken Salad, a bowl of Vegetable Soup (Burnt Pumpkin Soup), and two plates of Pollo Grigliata (Grilled Chicken Breast with Mashed Potato, Boiled Vegetables, Parsley, Lemon Juice, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, and Dried Oregano). All the items were extremely tasty. To be frank, the star dish was the unique Vegetable Soup. The service was extremely courteous and efficient, and the ambience was simply impressive. We had an extremely wonderful time chatting and eating together. While coming back, it took us only about 20 minutes to reach our home. Would we come back to this place?
