We won a gift voucher for a couple Dinner, which was valid till 30th August. Here are the series of events:
25th August: I made a call to confirm coming over on the 30th August and I was said we are more than welcome and no booking is required. They informed us that they have a festival from the 30th so we can come either before the 30th or even on the 30th which is day one of the festival.
28th August: we received a call from the hotel ask if we would like to come on the 29th; to which they were informed that we are only available on the 30th which they were ok with and said there isn’t a problem.
30th August: just before leaving for the hotel a courtesy call was made by us informing that we are coming, and my father on the call was met with a rude conversation where he was told that his voucher can’t be entertained because it’s a festival and we don’t attend gift vouchers when there is a festival. They internally spoke and eventually sounded unapologetic to outright refuse the use of the voucher.
Do also note that this isn’t about the food or one dinner, this is about self respect and an unethical behavior.
The least you can do is apologize and take corrective measures or is being unruly your motto?

The food I had here that whole time was totally up to the mark.
There is a great variety of items everyday. Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner..
Over the periods of 2-3 days.. I had n number of dishes. So it will take very long if I decide to talk about all.
Right on the day we reached.. we had breakfast. There I had some fruits and coffee. Then I got some idli sambar & uttapam for myself.. the sambar was dull in taste. And the uttapam was raw.. I had to ask them to take it away.
There's buffet system every day.. but they do give table service after you grab your food and then a seat.
The service seemed prompt. The staff is well trained too and they should be.. because you that much for all of it.
