All of it tasted really good . The beverages alone were tad disappointing would recommend having water instead. Overall good experience:) Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Hidden Gem on Sterling Road — A Must-Visit! Visited Café Nirvana for a small birthday dinner with my friends (we were a group of 8), and I’m so glad we chose this place! We stumbled upon it on Google, checked their Instagram, and were instantly drawn to the vibe — and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Location & Ambience: Tucked away in a quiet street on Sterling Road, the cafe has a beautiful, aesthetic interior with a cozy, dim-lit atmosphere — perfect for conversations and good food. Drinks: I ordered the Virgin Piña Colada, Iced Tea, and Virgin Mojito. • The Piña Colada was the star — a perfect blend of pineapple and coconut milk. • The Mojito was refreshing but could’ve used a bit more sweetness. ️ Starters: • Spinach & Feta Phyllo Cigars – Looked okaish. Slightly underwhelming and not crispy enough, despite the hype. • Malai Mushroom Kebab – Creamy, flavorful, and a total crowd-pleaser. • Dragon Chicken – Tasty and well-cooked. • Guntur Kataifi Prawns – This dish stole the show! Hands down the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. The prawns were crispy and flavorful, but what blew me away was the unique desi-style coconut-mayo dip — absolutely addictive. • Cream Prawn Doughnut – Surprisingly good! Soft doughnut paired with a creamy prawn filling that tasted like a gourmet sandwich. Main Course: • Creamy Chicken Bechamel Pasta – One of the best pastas I’ve had in a long time! • Aglio Olio Veg Pasta – Just okay, nothing special. • Broccoli & Beef Stir Fry – Delicious and flavorful, though slightly saucier than expected. • Tenderloin Steak – Beef was cooked really well and wasn’t chewy — great dish overall. • Chicken Chow Mein (Street-Style) – Surprisingly amazing! I don’t usually love chow mein, but this one hit the spot. • French Fries – Crisp, fresh, and served in cute plating. Sadly, we couldn’t try the pizzas as they were sold out by 7 PM — so go early if you’re craving one! Extra Perks: I called ahead and found out they allow outside cakes, which was perfect for our celebration. Price & Service: The total bill came to about ₹6200, but thanks to a Zomato Dining offer, it came down to ₹4890 — very reasonable for 8 people! Service was a little slow, which was a minor downside, but nothing too frustrating. Bonus: they offer valet parking, which is super convenient. Overall Experience: Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and some truly standout dishes. Yes, it’s slightly on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the experience. I’d definitely recommend Café Nirvana — and don’t forget to order the Guntur Kataifi Prawns! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹600–800 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Tucked away on Sterling Road, Nungambakkam, there’s a cozy new spot that’s quietly stealing hearts ~ Cafe Nirvanaa. The ambiance is warm, charming, and just the right kind of quiet that makes conversations linger a little longer. Here’s what we tried and honestly, it was a flavorful ride from start to finish: Virgin Pina Colada Crispy Chilli Chicken – Not exactly crispy, but the flavor made up for it. Nimbu Fish Tikka – Tender, citrusy, and cooked just right. Katari Kunafa Prawns – That crunch! That aroma! So satisfying! Creamy White Sauce Pasta – Silky and rich, though the portion was more of a ‘me-time’ size than shareable. Cheesy Garlic Bread – Loved the crunchy baguette vibe, but the garlic took a day off definitely more cheese than zing. Old McDonald’s Farm Pizza – Generous, fully loaded, and enough to feed a small army (or a hungry table of cousins). Filter Coffee Leches – Oh my god, this was a magic, perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with that lovely coffee kick. Biscoff Basque Cheesecake – A revelation. Legit my new favorite cheesecake in Chennai. Mango Sticky Rice – A little letdown, mainly because the mango was a bit too tart, just needed that ripe, melt-in-mouth sweetness. And the best part? All of this didn’t burn a hole in our wallets. We spent around ₹4K for four people and left with full bellies and fuller hearts. Totally worth it. Go give it a try, please don’t skip dessert. You’ll thank me later. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹800–1,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake
