Cafe Mezzuna is a great place to enjoy some delicious and authentic South East European cuisine. The ambience of the restaurant is very inviting, with its dim lighting and pleasant music. The staff are courteous and the service is prompt. The food is amazing, ranging from Twin Chicken Pizza and Bacon Wrapped Prawns to Smoked Tomato and Sweet Basil Soup, Vegetable Lasagna, and Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Pepper Jus. The desserts are also very good and include Chocolate Brownie, Baked Lemon Cheesecake, and Vanilla Ice Cream with Hot Chocolate Sauce. The new weekend buffet is also a great deal, offering 27 different items at a very reasonable price. The live Omelette Counter is a great way to customize your own omelette with your favorite toppings. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We are regular visitors to Cafe Mezzuna, dining here once or twice a month, and usually spending over ₹2,000 per visit. The food is delicious, slightly overpriced, but consistently good. Unfortunately, the service has repeatedly been disappointing. While not all staff are unprofessional, a server names start with "A" i guess and a lady server or manager have often made us feel unwelcome. Their behavior feels dismissive and subtly rude, especially towards customers who speak Bengali or dress simply. Respect should not depend on language, appearance, or perceived status. On our recent visit, despite calling multiple times, pressing the call button several times, and raising our hands, we were ignored. We were told extra mayo would be provided, but after waiting over 30 minutes with no response, we decided to leave. We have had much warmer experiences at nearby places like SodaBottleOpenerWala and Veneto. Even if this review is not seen by the team, I felt it was important to share our experience and see if others have felt the same.
