Cafe Green Ethnic Restaurant, is a different theme of dining, offering a menu on Miillets, Foxtail kichidi, Ragi Java, Ragi roti, Jonna roti Sajja roti, and different vegetable curries , we just had stop over here, We had Visited this place on Saturday, on an invitation by DECCAN DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY, Who organized an event called UNCULTIVATED GREENS, unlike the Greens which we are familiar un the city like paalakura, Thotakoora, Bachalikoora, Menthikoora, we heard long list unknown Greens which grow in the field without the use of seeds or water, they grow on their own, but all of them are just a treasure house of NUTRITIONAL AND THERAPEUTIC BENEFITS, I was blown out when I heard the health benefits we get by including these in our daily diets or at 2 to 3 time in a week is also a good start, Sondra the local names by which they are called are Jonnachenchalu koora, Elika chevula aaku koora, Thaliala aaku koora, Poipu koora, Kaasha aaku koora, and so many, these village women farmers from potbelly are really knowledgeable in these Greens, they identify and give some advice on the Ailments they can cure which many of the city urban life , Corporate life high stress life are suffering with the lifestyle diseases, Diabetes, Blood pressure, Infertility, PCOS, OBESEITY Etc. We just enjoyed this field visit , and had a good understanding of some of them which we remember, I think when we start using them regularly we can benefit from this Nature's unknown treasure chest of Greens which considered as weeds or unnecessary in the field can become a essential in future. If we can strive hard to push and spread the knowledge about these plants, we can create awareness on the potential benefits they can give to us for our health and well being and lead a disease free life
