Cafe ekante is quite a famous place to dine-in. Let's get into the groove and discuss a bit. It has two sections: A Chinese special section that is on a house boat And a Bengali food/ others in a restaurant. Both are quite adjacent to one another. Also they have specific timings. Separate for evening snacks and dinner if u want to go for the Bengali food section. Starts from 7pm in eve. I think lunch is from 12-4 approx and in between it snacks. Now for review: Food : 3.5/5 Will not say it's super delicious. It's average. Fish items specially can improve a bit. As of chicken and mutton, I found it as per standard. I must suggest that you try their dov-chingri as it really caught the true blend of the dish. Ambience: 5/5 Go on evening. That's one suggestion from me and I promise u won't regret. The whole setting is just mesmerising and beautiful if u go for a dinner. It can be romantic as well as family oriented too. Service : 4/5 Service was good. There was this lad who really was very welcoming and timely. We ordered in intervals and took our time but they were patient and kept good behavior all throughout. U can go visit but overall I found it very expensive. Not justified to pay so much for the dishes on the menu. U will be paying for the place more than the food and if that's okay with you, go ahead.
