Cafe Delhi Heights showed an alarming failure of basic hospitality. Wait Time for a table 3minutes ONLY- Only to get humiliated and thrown out… We were asked to wait for a seat to be cleaned — they were still clearing the plates from the earlier customers — so we stood there visibly for several minutes. Then, out of nowhere, another woman who was already seated elsewhere suddenly took that very table, and the staff allowed it without hesitation.When questioned, the excuse given was that “she was waiting first.” If that was true, why were we made to stand there waiting? And if she had been waiting, why wasn’t the table marked reserved? Instead, it was left open while they cleared it in front of us, only for someone else to swoop in. They later brushed it off as a “miscommunication,” which makes no sense — the woman was already sitting somewhere else.To make matters worse, the manager’s only response was a cold “sorry” and then telling us to sit somewhere else. Nothing more. Not just a lapse by the staff, but a clear display of managerial incompetence.They may not have lost business that day, but with this kind of staff and careless treatment of guests, they will certainly lose goodwill — and eventually, business.
