MY STORY:
I am a cyclist. My friends who ride bikes (cycle) frequently stop by this cafe when they travel to Puri, and I was one of them. On October 19, my friend and I went to this cafe to get some juice because we were craving it. That menu had a clear label that stated the price per juice was 49 rupees. They charged me 99 rupees for each juice when I went to the billing counter, so I asked the manager, "Why are you charging us an additional 50 rupees when we saw 49 rupees on the menu?" They claimed that the only thing they had under 99 rupees was water bottles, which cost 60 rupees, and they never had any juice under 99 rupees, and they said we were lying as we didn't have money, and they placed the blame on us in public.
They claimed this was written incorrectly after I showed them the proof by obtaining one of the menu cards that the staff member upstairs had kept inside.
If that menu was written incorrectly, I would like to know why they are still serving it to customers.
For the past four months, I have been sharing this story with every rider in my group, and they have all stopped coming here after learning the same strategies the employee employed to steal from the customers.
God knows, I wonder how they are doing the service now
