I recently visited Cafe Coffee Day and ordered an Iced Latte and Signature Choco Fantasy. While I was sitting, the staff asked me to scan a barcode to download their app. When I went up to the counter to place my order, the staff member actually told me not to try the iced latte because it was just "water" and suggested I try something else. I was surprised and uncomfortable with his suggestion, as it felt unprofessional. To make matters worse, he insisted on downloading the app to place my order, which spoiled the mood for me. I politely declined, and he seemed unhappy with that decision. Eventually, I ordered a Café Frappe with Ice Cream instead of the iced latte, and both drinks were actually delicious. However, the behavior of the staff member made the experience unpleasant. When it came time to pay, he informed me that online payments were not working and that I had to pay by cash. To top it off, he gave me a number to send the money to, which felt unprofessional and awkward. While the food and drinks were good, the staff's behavior and lack of professionalism left a negative impact.
