Vada disappointed, but idli, dosa uttapam, mungodi were nice. One more thing which drags your attention is price in uneven odd numbers! Too much rush but comparatively less waiting time, with service in time. Would like to visit again and taste remaining items. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Yesterday evening, I went to Café Bengaluru with my wife. I’ve been there a couple of times before. Among other things, I ordered one and a half plates of sambar vada. Everything else was fine, but the vadas in the sambar vada were made from spoiled batter, which both of us noticed in the first bite. I complained to the waiter, who rushed to the kitchen. A little later, the manager or owner, whoever he was, came, apologized, and admitted the café’s mistake. That felt good. Such errors occasionally happen in mid-sized restaurants. But I was surprised when the bill included the cost of half a plate of sambar vada. When I asked about it, he sheepishly said, “Sir, we’ve only charged for half a plate; we left out one plate.” I paid the bill and came home! Price per person: ₹200–400
