A Slice of South India in Sector 144. Rating: (4/5). If you are navigating the growing food scene in Noida Sector 144 and craving something more authentic than your average food-court dosa, Cafe Athyeka is a solid find. It strikes a nice balance between traditional flavors and a modern, clean aesthetic. The Highlights * The Food: The Masala Dosa is a standout—perfectly crisp on the outside with a flavorful, well-seasoned potato filling that doesn't feel overly heavy. The accompanying sambar has a great tangy depth, and the coconut chutney tastes remarkably fresh. * The Filter Coffee: You can’t leave without a cup. It’s served in the traditional brass tumbler and provides that perfect caffeine punch with the right amount of froth. * Ambiance: The cafe has a bright, minimalist vibe that feels much more "premium" than a typical udupi joint. It’s a great spot for a quick work lunch or a relaxed morning meal. Room for Improvement. The only reason I’m holding back the fifth star is the temperature control inside the restaurant. The air conditioning was set a bit too cold, which made the seating a little uncomfortable during the meal. If they could calibrate the AC for a more balanced environment, the experience would be flawless. Final Verdict. Cafe Athyeka is easily one of the best South Indian options in this part of Noida. Aside from the chilly AC, everything was perfect—the food is clean, flavorful, and reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back to try their Paniyaram!
