We were so thrilled to hear that one of Panjim's favorite breakfast & bhaji places, Cafe Ashwini has opened a new restaurant in Caranzalem Panjim. We went with the same expectations and they did not fail to please. Located opposite Smokin Joes, Kamat Complex in Caranzalem, Cafe Ashwini is the place to be to satisfy all your North Indian, Goan & Chinese cravings. There is ample parking for both 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers in front and besides the outlet. The restaurant has non-ac seating and an AC section on the floor above. The seating in the AC section has a much more premium feel to it with bright-colored interiors with soft and comfortable seats. The washroom was clean and equipped well with a hand dryer and good smelling liquid soap. The tables seat 4 people but can be joined to accompany a bigger number. We chose to dine in the AC section which was quiet and had soulful music playing in the background. Manthan our served provided us with a few recommendations from the menu. All the staff here were well versed with the menu and treated each guest well. Cafe Ashwini serves pure veg food with a taste that is even better than some non-veg items we have had before. Here's what we tried at Cafe Ashwini Caranzalem:

Drinks:
* Oreo Shake: 130/-
* Kitkat Shake: 130/-

Served in tall milkshake glasses, the serving of both the shakes was pretty decent and filling. Taste-wise the shakes here really satisfy sweet cravings. The oreo shake was topped with an oreo biscuit and vanilla ice cream while the KitKat shake had two pieces of KitKat for garnish. We loved both the shakes and could not get enough of it.

Appetizers:
* Finger Chips: 70/-
* Paneer Pahadi Kebab: 220/-
* Paneer Honey Chilly: 180/-

The quantity of the potato finger chips was generous. It was served with a sweet tomato sauce. The fries were not too oily and were done just right. The paneer pahadi kebab was super delicious with a hint of spice which paired perfectly when dipped in the green chutney that was served along with it. The dish was topped with freshly cut cabbage, onion & carrot which was a lovely spoonful. The paneer pieces were fresh and pretty big in size. Our personal favorite was the paneer honey chilly a dish that is a mix of both sweet and spice! The paneer pieces were juicy as they absorbed the masalas. We definitely recommend trying this dish out.

Main Course:
* Kaju Curry: 170/-
* Cheese Garlic Naan: 80/-
* Hongkong Noodles: 170/-

If we had to rate the Kaju curry on 10 we would definitely give it a 100. We goans love our cashew, imagine a creamy non-spicy gravy with cashews! Heavenly right? That's exactly what we felt as we had this delicious Kaju gravy with Cafe Ashwini's soft and cheesy naan. We felt the highest level of satisfaction after eating this tasty gravy. The Hong Kong noodles were flavorful too and infused with spices. It had a slight spicy feel which brought out all the flavors.

We definitely recommend visiting Cafe Ashwini Caranzalem for a meal like non-other. Trust us, they really know how to make veg food taste really good. The prices are super pocket-friendly too even in the AC Section. For more information, you can check out our Instagram page @cuisine_goa
