Both Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple and Hotel Akash are recommended for visiting. Indian cuisine is a must-taste one at this restaurant. Ordering nicely cooked beef is what a number of visitors advise.

A lot of guests note that the staff is creative at Hotel Akash. Most people mention that the service is prompt. The atmosphere of this place is quiet. But many clients who use Google didn't give this place a high rating.

It’s heartbreaking to see how one of my favorite childhood restaurants, Akash Hotel, has turned into such a disappointment. This was a place where I would often buy dinner during visits to East Fort and Chalai Market, making it a cherished part of my past. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me shocked and disheartened. The plates in which the food was served were dirty, with permanent stains and smelly water dripping from them—clear signs of poor cleaning. Even after requesting a plate change twice, both replacements had strands of hair on them. The teacup they provided was clearly unwashed, and they served only machine tea, which lacked the warmth of freshly made beverages. Adding to the distress, we ordered a dish from the live counter near the entrance, only to witness appalling hygiene practices. The wok was kept on a filthy floor, and precooked food was reheated in an unclean pan. What truly aggravated the situation was the rude and dismissive behavior of the cashier. He openly scolded the staff over trivial matters, not addressing the actual issues of poor hygiene. His attitude toward the customers was equally appalling. While we were enduring this unpleasant experience, a woman came in asking for a single chapati to be parceled. When she extended cash to pay, the cashier rudely dismissed her, saying they don’t sell single chapatis. Even when she offered to buy two, he brusquely told her to leave, claiming she might ask for some free gravy they typically provide. The entire interaction was humiliating and inhumane. The combination of poor food hygiene, substandard service, and the cashier’s appalling behavior has tarnished what was once a beloved memory. I sincerely hope the city corporation steps in to inspect their operations and enforce stricter standards. It’s heartbreaking to see them surviving only because of their prime location near the bus stop and Pazhavangadi Temple. What a shame to such a cherished childhood memory—this was my last visit, and I’m never going back. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1

I am writing to share my recent experience at Hotel Akash during my first visit to Trivandrum. I had breakfast at your establishment and was taken aback by the behavior of the staff. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be quite discourteous, which was particularly noticeable in the interactions with the gentleman at the cash counter. I believe that the hospitality industry thrives on customer satisfaction and it is with this in mind that I bring my experience to your attention. The treatment I received was not in line with the high standards of service one would expect. I am hopeful that this feedback will be taken constructively and will lead to an improved atmosphere for future patrons. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I look forward to your response and to hearing about the steps Hotel Akash will take to ensure a more welcoming environment for all guests.
