Today, we returned to Mangalore after ten years for a catch-up with friends and decided to enjoy some nostalgia. Unfortunately, Cherry Square didn't quite live up to our expectations. While we can't fault the food—it was amazing, as always; we particularly enjoyed the prawns, chicken, and the bread—the service was quite poor. The lady in the black uniform seemed completely absent-minded. She didn't make eye contact, used exaggerated gestures, and wasn't very hospitable. It took us at least ten minutes to get her attention so we could order more food, and the inside room was left unattended for extended periods. We also ordered a lime soda which never arrived, and we were presented with the bill before we had finished our meal. Overall, despite the really yummy food, the service made for a bad experience." I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cherry Square, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance set the perfect mood with its cozy and inviting decor—definitely a place to relax and enjoy a meal. I ordered a few Chinese dishes, and they were absolutely delicious! Each bite was bursting with flavor, and you could tell that everything was made fresh. The highlight for me had to be the desserts; they were simply outstanding! What really stood out was the service. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience. Overall, if you’re looking for great food in a lovely setting, Cherry Square is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back!
