WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! So let me just clearly state the entire experience I had with Cafe Razzmatazz. It was my brother’s 18th Birthday on 26 Dec 2024 and we had planned to have a small party in backyard of Cafe Raffles (Cafe Razzmatazz). Initially, we spoke to their manager and he showed us the venue and we told him that we want to put up a DJ. We offered us to have 2 speakers from them but we didn’t agree and told him that we will have our own DJ . Then he told us that if the DJ’s speakers aren’t too loud it is fine and we agreed to it. The next time we went, I met Manika (presumably the owner) and spoke to her about the party and how we will have our DJ coming over but we’ll make sure the music won’t be too loud . She informed me that she’ll ask us to shut down the music by 10:30 pm due to the residential area near the backyard. Which was also fine by me. After this conversation, on the 25th Dec, I visited them again with my elder brother (33 years old) to pre-order a few snacks so that the cafe people aren’t burdened at the time of the party. We met the manager, Arun, there and spoke to him about food and he asked us to wait for 2 mins but never came back. After waiting for almost 45 mins we were about to leave when we bumped into Manika, who requested us to shift the party from backyard to the cafe area because the music would otherwise be a problem for her. Reluctantly, I agreed just so that she doesn’t get into trouble. The next day, which is the day of my party (26th Dec), Arun, calls up and says, we cannot outsource the DJ and we have to hire their in-house DJ. We had ALREADY PAID our guy and these cafe people were charging more. I spoke to the manager and he says, it must have skipped his mind to inform us this fact. Since day 1 we had conversations about it and he forgot to tell us such a thing related to it ? I spoke to Manika about it and she said the same that it must be a matter of miscommunication. I mean how is this miscommunication? THIS IS NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL! Their owner says one thing but the manager says something else. And what do I do about the invites that I had already sent and the DJ to whom I had already paid? After speaking to Manika, she told me that she’ll speak to me in 5 mins and handle the situation but she never did. Infact, didn’t answer my calls too. Ultimately I had to change the venue, send the invited again and arrange everything again. Thanks to Cafe Reefer for saving the day. The party ultimately was a hit and everyone enjoyed to the fullest and I am so thankful that we didn’t have it Cafe Raffles. Raffles should focus more of customer satisfaction and their sentiments rather than playing cards to mint money from them.
