An interesting new concept thats recently opened up in the now growing social hub of Mumbai- BKC!

Burn 'o clock sells itself as a cafe and a malt room offering premium spirits and Asian, Indian and continental cuisine.

We walked in for lunch and were offered a table in the malt room as the cafe section had some work going on. The malt room has a very elegant decor with an all wooden finish and a bar. For sunday lunch the place was quiet but people did start flowing in 2pm onwards.

The bar offers the regular range of spirits and cocktails but we stuck to the usual gin n tonic and rum n coke.

The food is a mix of Indian, continental and asian with pizzas and burgers available too. For starters we had the paneer tikka, chicken badami tikka and fish tikka.

All starters were top notch. The paneer was soft with a nice flavouring and not much spice. The non veg starters too were tender and flavourful. Goo start so far.

For mains we tried a host of dishes- a mix veg Indian curry, chicken biryani, and 3 types of chicken continental dishes. Everything was well made and had ample portion sizes for 1 person. The chicken dishes had fancy accompaniments and were well presented too.

The highlight of the meal was the dessert course. A small selection yet a fancy one which is a welcome change. We had the flaming chocolate ball which was flambed on the table with rum, caramel khari biscuits served with malai kulfi and a chocolate cigar on a brownie filled with white chocolate.

All desserts were fabulous and with generous portion sizes. Great end to our meal.

The service was a little clunky at times with few delays and mess ups. Our reservation too was missing that too having called twice. However, to give them credit they were courteous and willing to accommodate in whatever way they could. Would any day overlook mistakes if the attitude is right.

The place offers music etc on fri/sat nights so will surely be a good option.

Maybe with time this place will surely Burn the right way!
