Our experience at Broadway, Jubilee Hills was quite disappointing, primarily due to inconsistent and biased policies.We called ahead to confirm if shorts were allowed, and we were explicitly told that they were not. However, upon arriving, we noticed several people — mostly foreigners — wearing shorts. When we pointed this out to the manager, we were told that shorts are allowed during lunch/brunch hours for men. This inconsistent enforcement of the dress code felt unfair and discriminatory.It’s frustrating to be given incorrect information and then witness a double standard in policy. Such inconsistencies leave a bad impression and make customers feel unwelcome.While the ambience and food were good, the lack of professionalism and clarity in managing basic policies overshadowed everything.

Disgraceful. On November 19th, International Men’s Day, a friend of mine and another guy decided to grab a quiet drink at Broadway, a premier brewery in Hyderabad. It was a Tuesday night, hardly a peak time, but they were turned away with the cold, high-handed decree: “No stags allowed.”This wasn’t a Friday night crowd control situation. It was a quiet evening where the brewery should have welcomed anyone wanting to unwind. My friend, a married man with three daughters and two sisters, simply wanted a couple of hours of “guys only time.” Instead, he was treated like a social hazard for daring to show up without a woman validating his presence.What does this say about Broadway? Does it mean married men can’t grab a beer unless accompanied by their wives or sisters? Such policies reek of misplaced elitism and condescension. A brewery should foster community, not enforce outdated, exclusionary rules. To Broadway: Your craft beer might be premium, but your attitude is stale. On a day meant to celebrate men, you managed to alienate them instead.
