Hi Arpita, Thank you once again for ordering from us — this being your 11th order. We're genuinely grateful for your continued interest in our food. That said, we’re also a little perplexed. You've now ordered our Shada Bhaat four times — and while we respect individual taste, it’s important to clarify that this is Banshkathi rice, a short-grain variety traditional to Bengali cuisine. This is clearly stated in the description and visible in the images. Our use of Banshkathi is deliberate — Basmati simply does not pair well with the kind of heirloom and rural recipes we specialise in. What makes this harder to understand is that your feedback continues to raise new concerns with dishes you've reordered multiple times. At this point, it’s difficult to reconcile the repeated choice with the recurring dissatisfaction. Your recent review about the Dim’er Rosha gravy having an “odour” is noted — though it would be helpful to be more specific. All our food is cooked fresh in small batches using ingredients sourced daily. We take hygiene and quality control seriously, and generalised concerns are hard to act upon meaningfully without further detail. We’d also like to gently highlight something else: while you’ve rated us 4 stars on occasion, you’ve never once left a positive written review. The only time you've taken the effort to write something is when the experience has been negative. That creates a skewed and imbalanced picture — one where the effort is only made to highlight faults, never appreciation. This can be deeply discouraging for small businesses like ours, and it significantly impacts how potential customers perceive us — which in turn affects our livelihood. We remain open to all feedback, but we also request fairness. If the food continues to disappoint, despite 11 orders, perhaps it’s time to genuinely reconsider whether our cuisine aligns with your expectations. Warm regards, Team Breaking Basmati
