My experience here was pathetic. During closing time, the place is surrounded by local hooligans who are busy eyeing women. One such group physically assaulted me because their insecurities couldn’t handle themselves when I stood there having a good conversation with two women I met that they were eyeing for a while. Completely unprovoked, these goons physically assaulted me. While Bobby claims he tries to protect his patrons, I feel pity for him because clearly he can’t do much given lack of law and order in Agonda. His wife was pathetic though, indulged in gaslighting and victim shaming by latching onto any and every word I said in my defence. This review might not be a true reflection of Bobby’s bar, but is a reflection of my pathetic experience as a tourist who just wanted to have a good time. Instead I was left feeling shaken and lost for words. I managed to stop the heavily drunk local goon who was charging at me (again) only when I started recording his video (attached). Apart from one person named Rocky, no other person had an iota of courage or empathy in that situation. The two women talking to me were super supportive but were whisked away by no other than Bobby’s wife herself under the guise of “protecting the women”. Apparently in her own words, she was “protecting the women all night” from the goons. Such a lady just disempowers women even further through such statements. Clearly the bar and the area is under the grip of the goons. Never visiting Agonda again, thanks to this experience. Stay safe and avoid triggering their insecurities if you are hanging out till late here. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1
