You have to visit here once before this becomes super popular. The ambience is just perfect for casual coffee. I had the falafel and pita bread with the hummus and I can vouch its one of the best one I had in the city. Very authentic flavors, balanced in their own way! We loved the Sicilian Pesto Pasta and Chicken Lasagna and the whole ambience was good too! A thumbs up from our side! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
If you’re ever in the mood for a quick and satisfying lunch near the Sector 105 (Mohali = SaS Nagar), Bistro Basilina might just become your new go-to spot. I kicked things off with a double shot of espresso. Now, I wasn’t expecting to be blown away, but I did expect a couple of cookies to accompany it—because, honestly, who doesn’t love a sweet surprise with their coffee? Anyway, the espresso was solid, served hot in a ceramic cup (points for presentation!), and had a decent flavor, so I’ll give it a 4.5 out of 5. Next up, the main event—Chicken Piccata with spaghetti. The chicken was tender and flavorful, but I was missing some sautéed veggies to give the plate a little extra fiber and that fresh, natural crunch. The oil on the plate wasn’t doing the dish any favors either. As for the spaghetti, the sauce had great flavor, though it was more on the bitter side than the zesty, sour side I was hoping for. Overall, a solid 4.0 out of 5. While I’m not going to call it life-changing, I’d definitely swing by again. It’s conveniently close to my office, and it could easily become my new casual lunch spot. Plus, I’m holding out hope that next time, there will be cookies with my coffee.
