The biryani was completely bland – there was no depth of flavor, no aromatic spices, and certainly no trace of the richness that should come with a well-made biryani. The rice was dry and flavorless, and the chicken (which I’d hoped would be tender) was dry and overcooked. It felt more like a sad, reheated meal than anything fresh or authentic. The rice was clumpy and lacked the fluffy, separate grains you’d expect in a good biryani. The texture was more like overcooked rice that had been sitting in a pot for too long. The meat, as I mentioned, was dry and rubbery, and the potatoes were undercooked and hard.Biryani should smell irresistible, right? But this one barely had any fragrance, which was a huge letdown. It was as if the spices were either missing or poorly balanced. This biryani was overpriced for the quality, which is perhaps the biggest disappointment of all. I’ve had better biryani from street vendors, so this was definitely not worth the price tag.I want my money back.
