If you feel hungry after gazing at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, visit Biryani Stories to have a meal. This place provides perfectly cooked biryani, chicken and spiced rice. Food delivery is an important benefit of this spot.
Tried their Mutton, chicken and veg biryani and yes it sure is something to talk about. They invested in a great chef and a side of kebabs did the trick for my guests. Kudos to the team. Keep up the good service.
Biryani is one food item that is an evergreen classic. The style of cooking this delicacy varies with each state of our country. Northern part of India enjoys its vegetarian versions, however as we move down South India, you can feast upon more than 40 mouth-watering and sumptuous versions of Biryani!
Catering to the Biryani fanatics like me, there is a recent addition of Biryani Stories in the Delhi NCR region. Despite of being a newbie, the place is drawing immense attention and pulling decent crowd. You know why? Read on.
Biryani Stories has the potential to fill the void of a decent Andhra food joint in the city! Their secret to close to perfect Biryani lies in the meticulously measured ingredients, choosing the perfect variety of rice, authentic flavours and practiced technique.
My favourite happens to be Andhra 65 and Chicken Ghee Roast. The soft and succulent pieces of Chicken have spices and an aroma to die for. The flavour of Curry Leaves used in the cooking and garnishing is the highlight of the dish.
Also, since they run on a concept of midnight food delivery, I am sure Gurgaon foodies are blessed with a very interesting, affordable and classic addition to their food circuit!
Sunday - 28th June -
As a follow - up of the review below, the team from Biryani Stories called me to understand the issues and took feedback. I like the fact that they admitted the error from their end and were willing to take the critical feedback and correct themselves. Surprisingly, the next day our door bell rang and I saw their delivery guy with the same Mandya Biryani and Chicken 65 that they had sent as a compliment. We tasted and this time the flavours were BANG ON! The masala was perfect and it was no where close to what we had eaten a day earlier. I would like to commend the team for taking this feedback positively, working on it and correcting themselves. Kudos to the effort. P.S: They also sent a Chicken 65 which was awesome and out of the world.
Friday 26th June - Got a flyer in the newspaper this morning (impressive one). Called them this afternoon to understand the difference between Andhra Dum Gosht and Mandya Gosht Biryani. The guy who answered did not have a clue and handed over the call to the chef. The chef said Mandya is an old style Andhra Biryani. i have lived in Hyderabad for more than 30 years and never heard of Mandya. Out of curiosity and hunger, i ordered Mandya Gosht Biryani.
I am thinking Zomato should have negative rating as well. I struggled to get some rice off the masala they served in the name of biryani.
They have no clue whatsoever about how to make a Biryani. I could not eat a morsel of it. The Egg was also under boiled. Cant expect much from some one who cannot boil an egg properly.
