Frankly, I never expected Biryani to be that good at Lumding. All throughout my childhood at the railway township of Lumding, Biryani was considered to be a delicacy that was seldom available. During the ongoing Durga Puja, my partner and I spotted this humble eatery that has two outlets across the township. Along with one of my friends, we both went to the Netaji Road outlet and ordered three (3) plates of Regular Chicken Biryani (definitely the Kolkata variant). The taste was fabulous. Although, it is distinctly different from the authentic Kolkata variety, we loved the aroma and quantity. My partner and I also enjoyed two glasses of (2) Mango Lassi, the taste of which was decent. Overall, on a Saptami day (Monday - October 29, 2025), the experience was very good. We would definitely visit this place again - albeit the other branch at Kalibari Road. Keep up the good work folks!
