Very basic meal-style Bengali restaurant, we had 4 different meals and all of them were quite good. This can give most Bengali restaurants in WB run for their money. You have to ignore the crammed seating and ambiance though Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Veg Thali

We stayed at New Bidesh Ghar hotel just beside swargadwar for 4 days(Nov 2024).This is budget friendly hotel with prominent location at Swargadwar and exquisite view of sea from hotel room. Coming to the *Bad Part* of Bidesh Ghar - a.Staffs behaviour is horrible,only a boy named Akshay behaves properly with guests. b.They don't give room service outside the lunch - Dinner time window.Even if you ask for room service for tea/coffee they will tell very harshly and rudely that you will not get the room। service . c. We had lunch-dinner mostly from attached Bidesh Ghar restaurant. Taste wise average more like Bengali cuisine,but again behavior is very rude. d. Room cleaning,bed sheet changing service is available but as per their own choice.They will come as per their convenience,if you ask/call for the service may be you have plan to go out,they will tell you harshly that you have to wait for their service. Previously also we visited this hotel many times but this time had a horrible experience.Addressed all these issues to their GM Mr.Sahoo.Hopefully he will take care.

Bidesh ghar hotel rooms and food quality of restaurant is most terrible experience in my life.. I booked hotel for 5 nights but I checked out after 1 night.. food was like horrible.. sambar was spicy not sour but Sabri with poor was sour not spicy. Please don't book this hotel. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Masala Dosa
