If you feel hungry after gazing at Second Hooghly Bridge, come to this restaurant to dine at. Discover new tastes of the menu with Indian cuisine in the comfort of Bhuribhoj.
Bhuribhoj is a tiny-tiny restaurant with just three tables. The ambience feels warm at first glance, but I personally didn’t enjoy it much. The kitchen is right next to the seating area, and the reception counter is also placed too close to the tables, which takes away from the comfort and calm you'd expect while eating out. Recently, I ordered a takeaway of their Paneer Butter Masala and Veg Fried Rice—two dishes that once defined Bhuribhoj’s reputation. Sadly, the experience was a mixed bag. The Fried Rice was just okay in taste, and the portion size felt disappointingly small for what it offered. The Paneer Butter Masala, once known for its rich flavor and creamy texture, didn’t live up to its legacy. The taste has clearly declined over the years. It took me back to a time about 9–10 years ago, when Bhuribhoj's paneer dishes were something special. My father used to bring their PBM home for my mother, and it used to be her absolute favorite. That richness and comfort are sorely missed now. Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes
