They are understaffed and hence service suffers. A LOT !!. My pizza was not cooked properly and it was raw at few places. it seemed that theyade it in hurry. Other items were ok. I definitely have a penchant for all things pretty, especially pretty pastries and cakes. Upon visiting this place, you're greeted by a gamut of pastries at the display (hopefully it'll be the case upon your visit and nothing is out of stock at that moment): their cheesecakes have always looked delectable to my eyes. And I have never not ordered them upon visiting, hehe. Let me get the talk about the ambience out of the way: it is decent. It is a cozy cafe with a quiet and low-key vibe to it, which some people enjoy, others, not so much. "You'll have to be there" to feel it. So, this review will be based upon my experiences of the pastries I have devoured at Bhopal Bakehouse & Cafe, or BBC, as they call it. By the looks of it and by the praises people were singing for their stuff, it seemed like a pretty flagship place. Upon my first visit, I was greeted by a small entrance which is quite old school, the lack of parking, and the quite small menu, which wasn't a problem, as I was not in the mood of any of the big plates, but some pastries, because, let's face it, when you're around the 10 number market, you have a boatload of options for getting quick bites, but not so many for getting something for your sweet tooth. Anyhoo, coming onto the star of the show: the Baked Japanese Cheese Cake did not disappoint, take my word for it. It simply melts in your mouth with every bite you take. It is so buttery, creamy and the right amount of cheesecake-y texture and sweetness, that you will fall in love with it again and again, hehe. Had some fries the other day, which were meh. The cheesecake usually makes it up for it. The prices are reasonable, but that's subjective. They've got outdoor seating as well, where you can smoke if you'd like to. The only complaint I've got I guess is, the Country Breads are ALWAYS out of stock, despite me telling them to reserve a pack of sourdough for me. But eh, solely for the cheesecake, Imma sit at 4 stars for this place. Cheers!
