As it's the only option for Bengali cuisine in Bhopal... We bengalees gladly step in to that food joint any time... Menu options for Bengali cuisines are pretty interesting...i tried their mutton curry home style,Egg-chicken Hakka noodles and egg roll.. Tastes good and service is very good and behavior of the staffs are soo polite ????????
Mentioned 2 laccha parathas in their meals and sent only 1 cut into 2 pieces. We are not fool. And if you give 1 paratha cutting into 2 pieces for Rs. 90 then you guys are dumb. Who gives only 1 paratha in a meal. I ordered 2 different meals of laccha parathas and im both they gave only 1 paratha cut into 2. This is just justified for the price you are charging. Also didnt sent the onion salad. Highly dissapointed. I was thinking of ordering main course but thought of testing it first with the meals and my money is saved. Please improve your menu and mention clearly about the offerings.
So, I went to Bay of Bengal on the 23rd of November, 2019, between 4-5PM. I had read enough reviews to believe that the place would offer me food that could remind me of Bengal. So, to start with, I ordered a Chicken Biryani. I had a lot more things on mind, which I wanted to order, but I thought, let me have the aroma and taste of the Biryani that I had been missing for so long.
First, the plates were served, dirty, with dust on them. I did not mind though, as long as the food was good. I wiped the plate clean using a tissue, and kept on waiting eagerly for the biryani. The biryani finally arrived, and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be horrible.
The biryani was stale, it was re-heated and served. It had got burnt in the process. It tasted horrible, and I also found a piece of steel wire in the biryani (perhaps it was from the steel scrub used to wash dishes). The food was so horrible, that I instantly decided to not ever visit the place again. I finished the biryani, as I could not take upon the guilt of having wasted food. I could not take the risk of having made any further orders. If you are someone who is very concerned about hygiene. I would definitely not recommend the place. I am not a hygiene freak, however, such low levels of hygience (accompanied with pathetic food) definitely is concerning. If the owner is reading this review, yes, I am the customer who paid Rs. 140/- for half Chicken Biryani through UPI, and named the payment as 'Pathetic Biryani'. I am sorry, but you have to understand, accept, and take this feedback if you want to deliver a better service, and have a better business.
