Seeing Namgyal Institute of Tibetology asks for time and efforts, so if you feel hungry after, come to this restaurant for a good meal. Search through the Indian menu. Nicely cooked roti, chicken and fish curry will impress you at the first bite.
The accommodating staff welcomes people all year round. The spectacular service is a great plus of Babumashai Restaurant. The cool atmosphere is to be found here. But most guests who use Google didn't give this place a high rating.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my family and had a very unpleasant and concerning experience. We ordered daal, rice, rotis, mix veg, and chicken curry. To our surprise, the daal served to us was spoiled — it had a sour, off-putting taste and smell. When I informed the staff, they refused to acknowledge the issue and were completely unhelpful. I had to escalate the matter to the reception, and only after several requests did they agree to replace the daal. However, they did not replace the rice, which had also been affected by the spoiled daal. This made the entire meal questionable. When I raised this issue with the owner/manager, especially pointing out the serious health risks — since I was dining with children and a lactating mother — his attitude was shockingly casual and dismissive. There was no sense of responsibility or concern for customer safety. Serving spoiled food is unacceptable under any circumstance, but the lack of accountability from both the staff and management makes it even worse.
