One star because I cannot give it zero. Overpriced, stuffy, and just everything about this place is off. The hot chocolate is average at best and everyone hyping the place on instagram needs to be questioned.

My sincere advice to the owner - Please increase the portion size or shut the place down. Paid Instagram marketing won’t take you anywhere in a competitive city like Blr.THE REELS ARE MISLEADING.So you went to one of those Insta worthy bakeries expecting something good out of it? Yeah, prepare to get disappointed. Pick the smallest cheesecake you’ve ever had. They’ll serve you half of it for 600 bucks. Yes, I’m not joking. The only thing good about this place is the cutlery.

My visit to Basque Bakery in Koramangala was one of the most disappointing café experiences I’ve had, and it definitely does not live up to the hype you see in Instagram reels. Please don’t fall for the curated videos online—reality is very different. The place itself is small with very limited seating, making it uncomfortable to sit and relax. The interiors are dim, gloomy, and lack any warmth, which completely takes away the charm a bakery should have. The menu is shockingly overpriced, even more than premium brands like Fabelle, Smoor, and other high-quality dessert cafés. At least those places justify the prices with freshness, quality, and good ambience—Basque does not. I ordered a butter croissant and hot chocolate, and it was a terrible experience. The croissant was old, stale, and harder than wood—I genuinely felt like I might break a tooth biting into it. For such a high price, I expected something fresh, flaky, and buttery, but this was the complete opposite. The hot chocolate was average at best. Service is slow, and there are very few staff managing everything, which makes the experience even worse. Overall, this place is all hype and no substance. Instagram reels will fool you, but the actual experience is nowhere close. Definitely do NOT recommend visiting this place.
