Cabin culture-was one of the iconic thing which shaped Kolkata dating scene somewhat between 1960s. A pocket friendly,isolated structures which shared a decent place for couples to enjoy the local delicacies ranging from hot beverages to beautiful fritters. "Basanti Cabin",a name famous among the people of Serampore, has lost it's significance with the modern trending fooding habits.A small eatery,which houses a sitting capacity of maximum 30 people. It's a small shabby place,where the walls have heard discussion of several generations over multiple cups of beverages. I never had a big expectation from the place,so took a beautiful ride to the place to soak in the flavour of the place alone. A visit once is enough,won't go to judge there food. Items ordered-Fishfry,Mutton chop,Tea. Enjoyed some beautiful discussion with the owner and the staff,they all are beautiful soul!
