After a long walk around St. Mark's Cathedral, visit this bar and have a rest here. Come to Bar Spirit Forward for a break and order nicely cooked pork. It's time to degustate delicious martinis, gin or whiskey.

I visited last night and enjoyed the experience. The cocktails were great, and it's a good spot overall. However, I felt the food could use some improvement. The chicken and crab dishes were cooked so similarly that I couldn't tell them apart. It was a shame to sit at the bar and have no interaction with the bartenders, especially since a good bar experience often comes from that conversation.

I genuinely don’t understand the hype. My experience here was quite disappointing. The cocktail I ordered was premade and stored in the fridge, then simply poured from a bottle—completely missing the mark on what a craft cocktail experience should be. The food didn’t fare much better. The pork buns were dry, and we had to send the crab rangoons back. There was no mention that they were a “reinterpretation,” so I expected the classic version. Instead, they tasted like over-fried egg rolls gone wrong. Service was below average, and while the aesthetics were decent, they felt like a generic attempt at mimicking an American bar—stylish, but lacking authenticity or originality. All in all, it didn’t come close to the standard of one of Asia’s best bars. At best, it felt like someone’s idea of an American-style bar, without having actually experienced one. Visited: Recently Rating: (3.5/5, rounding up to 4) Drinks – Creative, but Not a Knockout Tried 4 drinks — they were good, not great. The standout for me? Surprisingly, the Oreo-based cocktail — quirky and different! Overall though, I felt the drinks lacked that “wow” factor that other new bars in the city are nailing right now. Food – Decent Start Tried the sausage appetiser — it was nice, but not memorable. The menu shows potential though, so might explore more next time. Staff – Could Be Sharper Service wasn’t bad, but definitely room for improvement. A little more attentiveness and engagement would go a long way in elevating the experience. Price – Fair Enough For 4 drinks + 1 appetiser, the bill came to around ₹5,000. Not too steep, but also a limited order — so take that with a pinch of salt. ️ Ambience – Almost There Loved the posters and vibe inside, but cutting a point purely for the washroom situation — being redirected to the common Southern Star Hotel loo really took away from the experience. Breaks the flow, especially for a premium-ish space. ⸻ Final Verdict: Bar Spirit Forward has potential, but a few tweaks in drinks, staff attentiveness, and amenities could take it from okay to awesome.
