Hidden in the little streets of Mahabalipuram right near the beach is Bambino Beach Restaurant. Take a walk up several flights of stairs to the rod top and you're presented with a glorious view of the beach and the Shore Temple. The staff are warm and friendly and present you with a selection of the day's freshest catch from the Bay of Bangal. We were impressed with all of the fresh seafood on offer and selected the lobster and tiger prawns for a meal. The lobster was grilled first before adding their own house special malasa that was tangy and full of flavour with a little chilli kick. The fresh citrus of squeezed lime completes the flavour profile. The lobster was cooked to perfection. Similarly the tiger prawns were grilled and then added with a pepper malasa. An amazingly tantalising taste. Bothe lobster and tiger prawns were accompanied with house fried rice and potato fingers (french fries for the western lingo). Washed this all down with a fresh mixed salty and sweet lime soda, and you're a happy person. Service is terrific. Worth a visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fresh Seafood, Tiger Prawns, Fried Prawns Fried Rice and Lobster
