Enjoyed one of the best times at Baluchi, The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore. Had a really great time there. The food was just delicious — amazing and mind-blowing. There was a Ghazal night organised on Friday, and it was absolutely fantastic. They sang extremely well — it was just super. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Sajan Mittal from the restaurant team for truly making my day. His end-to-end hospitality was excellent, ensuring there wasn’t any problem at all. His food choices and suggestions were spot on and amazing. @The Lalit Ashok — you really need to be proud to have someone like Sajan working with you. Wishing him great growth in his Lalit career and hopefully seeing him as a General Manager soon From the Ghazal team, hats off to your voice and beautiful singing. And thanks to Richard ji for the tabla. Even singing and keyboard was just amazing, sadly I don't recollect their names. Overall, one of my best experiences at Baluchi, Bangalore. Utterly disappointing experience – Worst 5-star buffet I've ever had I visited 24/7 at The Lalit Ashok expecting a premium dining experience, but what I got was an absolute disaster. The buffet was shockingly underwhelming – limited spread, average taste, and zero attention to quality or presentation. But what truly ruined the evening was the unprofessional and dismissive attitude of Chef Abdul Kayum. When I politely pointed out what was wrong with the food, his response was casual indifference: “This is how it is, and it won’t change.” No effort to understand the issue, no courtesy to ask what exactly was wrong, and no intent to improve. It’s baffling that a 5-star property would allow such arrogance and complacency to be the face of their kitchen. If this is the kind of chef you’re choosing to represent your hotel’s food quality, Lalit is on a steep decline — and it's already begun. I would not recommend this buffet to anyone. There are far better options in Bangalore that respect your palate, your feedback, and your time. Hugely disappointed. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: ₹1,200–1,400
