I recently visited Bal Gopal Restaurant on the Rajkot-Morbi highway and had a thoroughly delightful dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere caught my eye — the setting is clean and comfortable, with improved seating over many roadside eateries. The highlight was, of course, the Gujarati/Kathiyawadi unlimited thali. It’s excellent value for money, offering generous portions of fresh roti/rotla that arrive hot, bowls of vibrant salads (I particularly liked the tendli salad – a new and tasty twist), and a variety of side dishes. Every component felt home-cooked with care. Most items are great, but ‘Churmano Lado’ is no miss item on the menu, Should definately order it. The service was also commendable — staff were prompt, efficient and courteous, adding to the pleasant experience. Moreover, the pricing is very reasonable given the quality and volume of food — a solid choice whether you’re passing through or planning a sit-down meal. It is unlimited meal with per person cost around ₹ 190/- , with sweets it goes upto ₹250/- per person. There were just a couple of thing they need to improve are --some dishes were described as a bit more oily than expected. --the digital payment facility is not always available. You have to carry cash and visit. But these didn’t significantly detract from the overall positive experience. In short: If you’re looking for a clean, friendly place to enjoy authentic Gujarati cuisine on the Rajkot–Morbi highway, Bal Gopal Restaurant is a standout. Highly recommended for its value, taste and service.
