Hotel Bakya Rooms – Karatankulathur: Detailed Review I recently stayed at Hotel Bakya Rooms in Karatankulathur and here’s my honest experience: ️ Room & Cleanliness The rooms are not very spacious, but they are neat, tidy, and well-maintained. The bathroom was also clean, which is always a big plus. The overall upkeep of the property suggests that it is relatively new or recently renovated. ️ Restaurant & Food The hotel has an in-house restaurant. I tried their regular South Indian meals, which were decent in taste, but nothing extraordinary. However, the pricing is on the higher side—for instance, they charge ₹47 for a single cup of coffee, which felt quite expensive for the area and type of restaurant. Staff & Service One major letdown was the attitude of the receptionist. There was no proper welcome, and their facial expressions and tone were rude and unwelcoming. As the first point of contact, the receptionist plays a key role in shaping a guest’s experience, and unfortunately, that aspect was lacking here. A little basic training in customer service and hospitality would go a long way. Overall Impression • Clean and decent rooms • Good hygiene • Food quality acceptable, but overpriced • Poor customer service at the front desk Rating: 3/5 If you’re looking for a short and clean stay, this place works, but don’t expect warm service or value-for-money dining.
