Since it was our first visit, we stuck to the basics: Dal Makhni and a request for the waiter’s "absolute best" paneer dish. He confidently pushed the Paneer Pasanda. That was the first mistake. While the Dal was aggressively mediocre—barely hitting the "average" mark—the Paneer Pasanda was an absolute disaster. Quality & Service The taste was genuinely foul. We sent it back, hoping for a fix, and to their credit, the staff tried to salvage it. However, you can’t fix a fundamental lack of quality. The Paneer: Rubbery, low-grade, and tasteless. The Result: Even after their "best efforts" to replace it, the dish remained inedible. All that effort went completely to vain. Honest Review Recent Changes (Important to Notice): On my latest visit, I felt a clear drop in food quality. The dal was not good at all and did not taste fresh. The sarson da saag was average, not like earlier visits. The taste and quality of both dishes were below expectations. What Was Good Earlier: I am a regular customer. Whenever I go to Chintpurni, I always stop here for dinner on the return. Earlier, the food quality was good and taste was consistent. This place was known for reliable Punjabi food. Service has always been good. Staff is polite, helpful, and quick. What Feels Different Now: There is inconsistency in food taste and quality. Regular customers can easily notice this change. It feels like food checking and final approval needs more attention. Conclusion: Babe Da Dhaba has a good name because of its past quality and service. The owner should personally review the food quality, understand the root cause, and work on the issues. Small quality issues can impact loyal customers. I hope the owner takes this feedback positively and improves the food. I would like to continue visiting this place in future as before.
