After going vegan 4 yrs ago, I have not been able to find vegan ice cream I could truly enjoy - not in New York, not in Mumbai or any other place one would expect to find good vegan ice cream, but to my surprise, I found the best vegan ice cream in Sowcarpet, Chennai!! It was so good, I could not believe it is vegan! The owner, Ashok is passionate about his craft of making the best ice cream, which comes from a place of compassion for animals, and I truly appreciate it. Ashok makes a limited number of flavors because he wants to master the taste before bringing it to market. I hope he is able to bring his creations to a more visible location, so more people (especially vegans, who hardlly find vegan dessert options) are able to indulge in guilt free deliciousness.
