This place looks beautiful, elegant, and luxurious. The decor is tasteful and creates a visually pleasing environment, making it a great place to visit with family or loved ones. The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights of Bizarre Asia and sets high expectations from the outset. While the staff are polite and do try their best, the service is extremely slow and inefficient. In comparison to other buffet restaurants like BBQ Nation—where starters are served rapidly the moment you sit—here it took almost an hour to get just 4-5 starters. Most of the time our plates remained empty, and we had to request repeatedly for refills. Starters (1/5) --------------------- The starters options were very limited and quality also left much to be desired. The so-called fancy names couldn’t mask the fact that they served something as basic as chicken tossed with onions and green chilies. The dim sums and bao had such a thick layer of flour that even street-side momos would taste better. The chicken soup was probably the worst I’ve ever had. There was a fish chop, and the pan-tossed prawns were just okay. I tried sushi for the first time, so I won't comment on that. No welcome drinks were served, and drinking water is priced at Rs. 200 —which is just absurd. Mains (2/5) -------------------- In mains also their stinginess were clearly seen. A good Asian buffet typically includes exotic vegetables like mushrooms, broccoli, bamboo shoots, radish, and zucchini in their fried rice or noodles. But here, the fried rice was literally just boiled rice with egg—completely devoid of vegetables or flavor. The selection was again minimal: one fish, one chicken, one prawn, and one crab dish which was swimming in extremely spicy, overpowering gravies that killed the actual flavours. A Thai prawn curry was the only dish that stood out, but apart from that, nothing felt worth the price. Desserts (3/5) --------------------- The dessert section was small but not terrible. A few tarts, brownies, and fruit options were available, along with four common flavours of ice cream. Nothing extraordinary, but also nothing to particularly complain about here. Conclusion -------------------- Don’t be fooled by flashy Instagram reels—most of the influencers hyping this place are clearly paid and all wants to take your hard earned money. It’s all part of the marketing game that Speciality Group of Restaurant has mastered. The same people behind Mainland China, who once charged Rs.1000 for a plain plate of noodles during Covid, are now using a new name to do the same thing all over again. Our bill for 2 was Rs.2500, at Rs. 1200, this buffet is a rip-off—no lamb, no pork, no mutton, and not even a welcome drink included. Mocktails are overpriced at Rs. 250, and the food just doesn’t match the price tag. Maybe it would’ve been acceptable at Rs. 800, but as it stands, this place feels more like a scam than a special dining experience.
