Being at Basil The Taste, try good cheesecakes, bagels and biscuits. It's time to degustate delicious brandy. You will be offered great chocolate frappe, ice tea or juice.

We ordered a pancake and a pasta and while the pancake was average at best but the pasta was absolutely woeful. The staff seemed to be clueless about our feedback as well.
Came out as a very very disappointed customer.
I was introduced to this place by my friend, who goes here almost on a daily basis and after that I have visited this place atleast 5-6 times. The menu is mainly themed on American and Italian style food which includes pizza, pasta, burgers etc. The speciality of this place is that it has dedicated breakfast menu (which they serve all day). A must go for vegeatrians and non vegetarians, as the menu has some amazing dishes for each.
Over the course of my visits, I have tried almost all the variety of dishes on offer. I tried the Basil Signature Egg Florentine, which is basically made of a mushroom, a layer of spinach and poached egg on the top served with bread. One to try for the vegetarians. We also had the Chicken and Onion omelette, which was amazing.
I tried the Soya Bean Kheema served with bread and believe me, it tasted better than chicken. The taste and the way it was cooked, was perfect. If you are a fan of cheese, you should try the Plain Cheese fondue, served in a pot with small bread pieces. It shall fulfil all your cheese cravings. I tried the curry leaf tempered couscous, but this was the one dish that I did not like.
In dessert, I tried the Philadelphia Cheesecake. It was on the best cheesecakes I have had till date. The pastry was topped with chocolate sauce and served with dates, that went really well with the pastry.
In the end, we had the basil chai which is served in a katta and with one freshly baked cookie. Perfect end to the meal.
Note:
1) The cafe is quite small and can accommodate hardly 8-10 people. So during weekends, you might have to wait for some time.
2) Cost for 2 people – ₹ 1000 - ₹1200. Totally worth it compared to the food quality and the quantity on offer.
