Ayyaar Bhawan, located near the busy cross road junction at Aavadi Chennai is a good option for a pure vegetarian lunch. An old world ambience with basic seating, the service was quick and attentive. Being lunch time, we had the Limited meals which is quite enough for a moderate eater It includes the staple rice, sambar, rasam, kara kuzhambu, curry, kootu, appalam, mixed rice, curd, oorugai and payasam. The pricing is moderate. While the food was okay, couldn't complete the full but limited rice bowl and the fullness extended beyond dinner time. They have an extensive breakfast, dinner and evening snack menu and also boast of a seperate bakery and sweet shop, adjacent. Hotel Ayyaar Bawan is one of the oldest and biggest restaurants present near Avadi bus depot and Avadi railway station all together. They serve only vegetarian foods here. Tiffin items are good and at a reasonable price. Lunch items are good too.Parking is a major problem here as it is located on the busy roads near Avadi bus depot. Average level of maintenance is seen inside the restaurant. Food quality is good.Overall experience was okay. Thank you !
