If you're a food enthusiast and open a small restaurant then it takes a lot of hard work to make it work. It's easy for the chef to run a restaurant compared to the enthusiast foodie as he has the knowledge and experience of the same field. I came across the same restaurant in Bavdhan area called as Awadh-E-Malwa which serves Awadhi-Indori food and trust me they have some great dishes to satisfy your carvings for Awadhi and Indori food.I was here for a food tasting session and my experience was fantastic, so without wasting any more time let's get into the main thing -We started with Awadhi delicacy Kebabs which are as follows✪Kebab =Galauti Kebab - These kebabs are known for their smoky and melt in mouth consistency. The one we had here has a perfect silky creamy soft goeey texture which literally melted in the mouth. The kebabs had nice minced meat with the flavor of all ground spices.Chapli - On the other hand, chapali kebab had a thicker texture but its similar in shape to the Galauti, also it had coriander used in the minced meat with a slight higher flavor of the pepper. Both the kebabs were equally good.Shammi Kebab (chicken)- A bit bigger in size with medium thick consistent minced chicken meat, the kebab had a slight sweetness in flavor with a nice flavor blast at the end of every bite.✪ Kebab Pav - Awadh-E-Malwa specialty where they give you Shammi kebab in between pav which is accompanied with in house chutney and green leaves. Somehow, mistakenly they put extra chutney which ended up making the pav soggy and overpowered the taste. Actually, the combination is really good if the elements are equally balanced.✪ Chicken Fry - A perfect chakna item for everyone. The marination which was used here had bason, kali mirch, chaat masala and dominant flavor of lemon. The main thing was masala blended together perfectly and gave a nice flavor with chicken. The chicken was wrapped in a nice thin crispy layer of marination which was bit spicy, tangy and had all the spices used.✪ Creamy Chicken - A perfectly balanced dish which can complement chicken fry as the flavors here are on the milder side. The chicken was cooked in butter and cream and it was again garnished with cheese and pepper. The pepper worked as a balancing element and gave a nice flavor.✪ Mutton Korma - The one you get here is different than the regular korma as its based on onion masala which gave it a nice dominant sweet flavor. The gravy kickstarts with a sweet taste and then the flavors make their way to our taste buds. The gravy had a thick consistency and a layer of meat fat. It goes well with awadhi paratha.✪ Chicken Masala - One of the best dish I've had in long time. The consistency of gravy was 100% perfect, the use of onion and tomato was so balanced that it was clearly seen in the consistency. The balance of elements made it taste good, gravy was fatty had a nice layer of fat on top of it. The gravy had a nice flavor of garam masala and it was on the thicker side.✪ Ulte Tawe ka paratha - An awadhi delicacy which is something you should not miss here. The paratha had nice crispy edges and soft middle with a sweet flavor at the start which is a perfect accompaniment for gravies.✪ Awadhi Paratha - The paratha you get here is something equally good as their gravy dishes. It's a combination of Rumali roti and paratha. This gives it a nice soft texture with a thickness of paratha and slightly sweet flavor. It's their invention and it really worked for us.Overall Verdict - Whatever we had here was something which I tried for the first time and people who are looking for Awadhi cuisine and Galauti kebab, do visit Awadh-E-Malwa. You won't be disappointed for sure.
