You will be served nicely cooked fried prawns, fish curry and soup. Try great tea, it's a must while visiting this restaurant. There is a lovely view from Vembanad, Kumarakom Lake Resort. Most visitors state that the staff is pleasant. This place is remarkable for its enjoyable service. Here you will pay low prices. The atmosphere is cool, as people see it. Google users awarded this spot 4.5.

We went there for lunch with my whole family including parents. The atmosphere was pretty good. Loved the ambience. The staff seemed friendly. Then things started... To begin things, we ordered a couple of cocktails. The bartended seemed to know what he was doing. But to my disgust, I saw him drinking directly from the mixing jar the reminder of the cocktail directly with his mouth. I wonder if he even washed it before he prepared the next cocktail. Anyways, I let it slide. We started to order stuff. My parents preferred normal meals which was surprisingly not available there for a kerala seafood restaurant. We had to order stuff like avial, thoran etc separately. When we asked this, the serving staff had a sarcastic smile on his face as if normal rice meal is something below their standards. Anyways, I let it slide. We got the food. The food was OK. But what irritated me the most was malayali staff speaking to malayali customers in forced English. As a result, my parents were not comfortable speaking with them. I found it highly inappropriate. Anyways, I let it slide. I don't know how many times I had to ask for tissue papers. They seemed pretty reluctant to provide tissue papers. Strange. Anyways, I let it slide. But then came the shock. The final price of the our lunch was something which put posh 5 star restaurants or even European restaurants to shame. Consider eating a kerala thoran for Rs 700 plus GST plus SGST. It is something which costs less than Rs 50 in a standard restaurant. The restaurant seemed like a rip off at the end targeting North Indian and foreign tourists. No amount of nature and ambience could save the anger and disappointment we felt after the lunch. Never again to this place! Edited as reply to the response: Yes, like I mentioned, I let most things slide as they were not really worth mentioning in the feedback sheet. I could have lived with it. However, the issues regarding the bartending, tissues and malayalam speaking were mentioned in the feedback. However, I would like to point out that the feedback sheet was strategically given by you before the bill was presented to me. My feedback would have been exactly the same as the review here if you had provided the feedback sheet along with the bill. I have been to many exquisite and unique cuisines but it's clear as day that our lunch at this restaurant was a ripoff. Yes, I appreciate the fact that the chef took specials efforts in preparing dishes, but that also came with a shock of a bill, the prices of which were not listed in the menu card, especially for the traditional kerala veg dishes. I recently had lunch at a restaurant in this restaurant inside the resort. The food was good, though on the expensive side. The restaurant is located on the banks of Vembanad Lake, offering a beautiful ambience. It specializes in seafood, and I tried their lobster along with other seafood dishes. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Our lunch at Vembanad Kumarakom Lake Resort was absolutely wonderful! The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, capturing the true flavors of Kerala in every bite. The staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. The view of Kumarakom Lake added a serene and beautiful backdrop, making the experience even more special.
