In 1970 Pimpri Chinchwad New town Development Authority ie PCNTDA was established by government to plan city based on chandigarh with planned houses wide roads. To accommodate staff of booming Industrial Belt. Pradhikaran was also established. And plots were alloted for canteens and small food joints along it. Today after 35-40 years some of them have become legendary Restaurants. This is small joint in a old chawl running strong currently third generation handels it. They started when Bajaj rolled out 1 scooter every 2.5 mins it was the only place to get meal outside factory canteen. And now too they are famous for affordable hygienic food. Daal bati tadka is fabulous. Nice tadke wali dal with well cooked batis. The owner is cousin of Baba Ramdev Dhaba Transport Nagar.Ramdev Baba Dhaba got tremendous publicity and my personal opinion taste has taken a hit there. A small joint but you can take parcel. I prefer to eat there. Ashapuri Dining Hall Akurdi. Opp Bajaj Gate. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
