Called restaurant yesterday to book table as mentioned in zomato,the person on phone said ala carte is not available only buffet is there ,and it's special theme today from Kashmir to kanyakumari. I asked if we can take ala carte ,he said no for today it's only for people who are staying in club Mahindra,and when asked for buffet price he said , we will offer you member offer which is 1030+ taxes and buffet doesn't require any booking.So Me and my Mom went ,first we got disappointed with food as it was just average,may be our expectations was too high ,then when I went to pay I was charged Non member price ,when I asked that someone on phone communicated me that they will offer member price which is 1003+ taxes and then they corrected me that member price is 1030+ taxes,the male and female on counter looked at each other and had expressions on face like we can't offer .I said if they can search from contact number as may be my Mom is club Mahindra member,but they we're adamant on physical card.So no attempt to help or apologies for such wrong communications. It doesn't matter if I had to pay non member charges ,but then don't make false commitments.It was utter disappointment .Though the people at buffet area who were serving 2 boys and one girl were really good and also helped with suggestions on local doctor as I had a need.In my view and experience,for sure this restaurant is not worth going,neither for the food and for price ,for sure not worth . Explore other good restaurants in Ooty.
This restaurant is located inside Club Mahindra Derby Green Resort near Race Course.
Interiors/Exteriors:
Interiors of the restaurant is very well done. They have buffet area and ala carte area separate. Ambience is good. Staffs are attentive and polite.
Food: There are variety of items on the menu and they do have buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Buffet Breakfast is around 550 AI, Lunch 750 AI, Dinner 900 AI. The ala carte prices are on higher side. 1-veg biryani will cost around 450 AI and a portion of idle vada will cost 200+. The food taste is good but very pricey and will pinch your pockets for sure. I have attached the menu and please note, the taxes are additional which varies between 18-24%.
