Back in 2019, whenever I was in Bharuch, Gujarat, one of my favorite spots for dinner was Asal Amdawadi Tawa Fry. This place was known for its authentic Amdawadi flavors and delicious tawa-fried dishes. The food had a rich blend of spices, and every dish was cooked to perfection on the tawa, giving it that signature street-style taste. Whether it was tawa chicken, fish fry, or spicy paneer tawa masala, every bite was a burst of flavor. The aroma of sizzling spices filled the air, making it hard to resist ordering more! The ambiance was simple but lively, and the service was quick and friendly. The prices were quite affordable, making it a great place for a fulfilling dinner without burning a hole in the pocket. I was excited to try Asal Amdavadi based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered golden leg and pathani leg which i did not get as it is not available , the food reviewed none of them met expectations. The irani leg piece was too salty/bland/cold, thetasted stale, and overall, the food lacked freshness and flavor. The service was slow/rude/indifferent and the ambiance didn’t make up for the lackluster meal. I hope the restaurant can improve its food quality because it has potential, but based on my visit, I wouldn’t return.
