Restaurant & Food Review – Arsalan, Jessore Road Arsalan’s Jessore Road outlet is thoughtfully laid out, with a structured arrangement — a takeaway counter on the ground floor, followed by a dining space, and a banquet area further within. The spatial planning is functional, albeit devoid of any standout design or experiential charm. While the food offerings were satisfactory, the overall dining experience lacked the ‘wow’ factor one might expect from a brand of Arsalan’s repute. The mutton curry appeared to rely heavily on pre-mixed gravies, lacking the depth and authenticity of slow-cooked, hand-crafted preparation. The lachha paratha was underwhelming, bordering on the ordinary — neither crisp nor indulgently layered as expected. The biryani, a signature hallmark for any Mughlai kitchen, unfortunately did not carry the signature aroma or complex flavour profile that one anticipates; it felt somewhat subdued. Hospitality, though earnest in intent, fell short in execution. The team made an effort to welcome guests at the reception, but the overall grooming and finesse in service delivery were noticeably absent. The mutton biryani was good, however not very special to charge 450+ rs The size of mutton is small as compared to the price we are paying. I don't care whether it's a brand.
