I never thought I’d be writing a negative review for Arippa, but I can’t recommend this place anymore. It has completely lost its touch. I used to love the food here, but our last visit was a total disaster from start to finish. We ordered a lot of food expecting a feast, but every single dish let us down: • Dragon Chicken: Rock hard and tasteless. It felt like it had been sitting out for hours. • Prawns & Prawns Biriyani: These were the worst. The prawns were so overcooked they were like rubber—literally a workout to chew. The biriyani had zero flavor. • Ravuther Biriyani: Just bland. It didn’t taste anything like the authentic version they used to serve. • Kappa and Meen: You’d think a Kerala spot could handle the basics, but even this was bad. The fish didn't taste fresh at all. The absolute dealbreaker: The hygiene. As soon as we sat down, we noticed the plates had a really nasty, damp smell—like a wet rag or raw egg. It was honestly nauseating. It’s sad to see a legendary spot go downhill like this. High prices, terrible food, and smelly plates. We won’t be coming back.
