I recently visited Arati Dining Veg Nonveg in Ratnagiri, and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant is well-known for serving authentic Konkani cuisine, especially seafood, and I was eager to try it. Ambiance The restaurant has a simple yet comfortable ambiance. It’s clean, well-maintained, and offers a cozy atmosphere for families and friends. While it may not be a luxury dining spot, the focus is clearly on the food and experience, which makes it a great place for an authentic meal. Food The food is definitely the highlight! I tried the Surmai Thali, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh, well-marinated, and perfectly cooked. The prawns masala was another standout dish—full of coastal flavors with just the right amount of spice. The solkadhi was refreshing and complemented the meal beautifully. For vegetarians, the restaurant also offers a variety of options. The veg thali had a good mix of local flavors, and the dal was particularly tasty. Service The staff is polite, friendly, and efficient. Our food arrived in a reasonable time, and they were helpful in recommending dishes based on our preferences. However, during peak hours, the service can be a bit slow due to high demand. Pricing The prices are slightly on the higher side, especially for seafood thalis. However, given the quality of the food and the freshness of ingredients, it feels justified. If you’re looking for an authentic Konkani seafood experience, it’s worth the price.
