I have been to Annalakshmi Banquet Hall for my friend's daughter wedding on 07-Jul-2025 and my experience was not that great. Feeling hot inside the hall as the ACs were not impactful, Floor was sticky, shortage of serving support seen during Marriage event, scheduled to start lunch buffet by 10.45 am but started by 11.30 am making entire crowd rushing towards the counter when opened, food taste was average, Sambar Rice, Puliyodarai Sadam, Potato Curry are all very spicy, noodles not boiled properly, aged people were running out of seating support. Overall, a bad experience and will rethink if to visit again. Hope my candid review will be taken for course correction by the Annalakshmi Banquet Hall & its Restaurant Management Team. Not worth for money what they charge.

I recently visited Annalakshmi restaurant without a prior booking, unaware of their reservation policy. I arrived with my child and elderly parents after a long day, expecting to have a pleasant meal. However, the experience was far from welcoming. Upon entering, there was no greeting or acknowledgment from the staff, which was disappointing. Even mid-range restaurants usually make an effort to welcome guests, but this high-class restaurant lacked that basic courtesy. When I approached someone who seemed to be in charge and asked for a table, he immediately opened the door and bluntly told us, "Please leave if there is no prior booking." There was no empathy or polite way of conveying the message—just a cold dismissal. Their motto, "Aditi Devo Bhava" (The guest is God), felt like a complete joke in this situation. The lack of hospitality and the rude approach left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. For a place with such a reputation, this was a poor reflection of their customer service. Meal type: Dinner

We were 6 of us at the restaurant today and to our bad luck we found a a 11/2 inch metal string (something like a large staple pin) in the cutlet they served on my wife's plate. We are so glad she didn't swallow it and we would have been in an emergency. I understand the hype but unable to keep the packing material in the panty and cooking blows my mind. We were just told sorry and I had no more appetite to eat . I have no idea if any action was taken. We will not visit this restaurant again. - Srini.
