Bangkok Garlic soup was smooth having a creamy and mouthful texture. The flavour of garlic was also very balanced and not overpowering. I tasted the Vegetable lemon soup after the Bangkok garlic soup. If viewed independent of this, I would give 2.5 stars for this soup. The lemony flavour was pleasant, but it lacked the depth or variety of other flavours like sour or hints of sweetness as I had expected. Crispy chilli potato tasted fine, but was soggy by the time it reached. Tofu kimchi was not great as it did not taste like anything close to kimchi.

The vibe at Flower Drum, Egmore was just okay — nothing too special or memorable. However, the food was surprisingly decent and made up for the average ambience. Good enough for a casual meal, but not something I’d go out of the way for. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Thai Green Curry
